Your investment includes far more than the time spent in front of the camera. It includes the conversation beforehand, creative planning, professional lighting, guidance throughout the session, careful image selection, refined retouching, the reveal and artwork consultation, and the creation of finished artwork.
The photography time listed with each experience is a typical guideline—not a stopwatch.
Some stories need more time. Others come together quickly. The goal is never to rush the creative process simply to stay within a predetermined number of minutes.

Every Lingering Image experience begins with a conversation.
We'll talk about what brought you here, what you want the images to say, how you want to feel, and what you want to create.
From there, I guide you through the process—from planning and wardrobe to posing, expression, lighting, image selection and finished artwork.
No experience in front of the camera is needed. I'll guide you through the entire process.
CLASSIC PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE
Starting at $695
A focused personal portrait experience designed to create a small collection of meaningful, finished photographs.
Typically includes:
- Complimentary consultation and creative planning
- Guidance with wardrobe, expression, posing and styling
- Professional, controlled lighting
- One primary location
- Multiple wardrobe options as appropriate
- Approximately 6 unique, finished and retouched images
- Personal reveal and artwork consultation
- One 8 × 10.5 fine-art print in an 11 × 14 mat
- Additional unique images available when desired
Typical photography time: approximately 1 hour
The goal isn't to leave with hundreds of photographs.
It's to leave with a collection of images you'll actually want to keep.
EDITORIAL PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE

For a more creative portrait experience with greater visual exploration and editorial direction.
Typically includes:
- In-depth consultation and creative planning
- Concept and visual direction
- Multiple wardrobe changes
- Multiple lighting setups or environments
- Approximately 12 unique, finished and retouched images
- Personal reveal and artwork consultation
- One 8 × 10.5 fine-art print in an 11 × 14 mat
- Additional unique images available when desired

This experience is about creating a body of work—not simply filling a gallery.
SIGNATURE PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE

The Signature experience is intentionally flexible and built around the story, concept and artwork we are creating together.

These are intentionally more focused, with a smaller creative scope and curated final collection.
Exact inclusions vary by offering and season.
THE NUMBER OF IMAGES ISN'T THE POINT
Photography has become increasingly focused on how many files you receive.
10 images.
20 images.
40 images.
100 images.
But how many of them will you actually print?
How many will still mean something to you five, ten or twenty years from now?
At Lingering Image, I would rather create six extraordinary, unique images than thirty images that feel like variations of the same photograph.
Each finished image should bring something different to the collection—whether that's an expression, a moment, a composition, a lighting approach, or simply a feeling.
The goal isn't to maximize your image count.
It's to create a collection of unique photographs with meaning.
AND WHEN AN IMAGE DESERVES TO BE PRINTED...
I don't want the price of an additional image to stop a great photograph from becoming artwork.
Your session includes the agreed collection of finished images. However, if you choose an additional unique image specifically because you want to have it printed as artwork, I will waive the additional image fee.
The same principle applies when an additional image is needed for an appropriate print publication or editorial print use.
Because if an image is good enough to deserve a place on your wall, in an album, or in print, I would rather see it become part of your story than have an additional image fee stand in the way.
Print production, artwork, framing, album and applicable licensing costs remain separate.
